A
note from Bonnie
I started
running in 1977 for health and fitness.
I ran my first competitive race in
1980 and 6 months later decided to
go for the 1981 NYC Marathon. Running
has brought so much enjoyment to me!
Beyond my original goals, I've gained
many friends in the running community.
Over the years I've won age group
awards in every distance from the
5k to marathon distance. In recent
years the awards are few and far between,
but sometimes, if conditions are right,
I still bring home hardware. Also,I
have learned to love seeing the seasons
change in Central Park; it's a joy
all year long.
Finally, The New York City Marathon
is a very special experience for me,
it's a 26-mile party! Despite how
difficult the run may be in any year,
crossing the finish line is always
exhilarating! Thank you for your support
of my race, and the Alan T Brown Foundation!
