It was again a great honor
to represent the Foundation in the Central Park
Triathlon. As you can see from the picture taken
by my son Jason at the finish line, I was proud
to wear an Alan T Brown Foundation shirt during
the race.
The race went well, particularly since the run
was cut from five to three miles--no complaints.
I finished third in my age group, less than two
minutes behind the second place finisher - something
to shoot for next year. The highlight of the day,
however, was to have two of my grandchildren,
Kate Brown, Ali and Dan's daughter and Alan's
niece, and Jesse Zimmerman cheering me on. Unfortunately,
Zachary Zimmerman was sick that day and Jake Brown
and Eli Zimmerman got "under one year old"
exemptions.
I want to express my sincere thanks to all those
who sponsored me and contributed so generously.
I am really pleased that we were able to raise
over $15,000 this year.
