National Spinal Cord Awareness Month

The month of September has been designated by the United States Senate as National Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month. Every 48 minutes someone in the U.S. becomes paralyzed. Cognizant of the fact that there are thousands of people living with paralysis throughout the world, the Alan T Brown Foundation educates people on the importance of prevention and acting responsibly in an effort to prevent a spinal cord injury by spreading the word and through publications, social media, events, awareness programs and personal contacts. We ask our network of supporters including friends, business associates and people we have helped to utilize good decision making practices so that they live by example. Please click here to donate and support ATBF’s Programs, honor a loved person, a caregiver, a family member or a person who has moved forward after paralysis during National Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month.
